My New Spanish Course

Has my new Spanish course got trapped in mañana? If you haven't heard about the expression mañana, let me explain...

Mexico is sometimes referred to as the land of mañana. It'll be done tomorrow...

and when tomorrow comes, it'll be done tomorrow.

This casual attitude, like many things in life, is a double edged sword. It's great to escape all the hustle and bustle. Just about everyone could benifit from taking it easy for a while.

But when things don't happen on schedule that can be frustrating.

Where is Synergy Spanish level 2?

Back in February, I wrote about my Synergy Spanish level 2 and the success stories that were inspiring me to write this new Spanish course. As I wrote to you, I remember thinking, "I'll finish in early March, but I'll set April/May as the release date, that way I'll give myself a little breathing Space.

Well Abril, y Mayo have gone. Please accept my apologies; I am behind schedule yet again.

This project is not behind because of any mañana syndrome, de hecho, (in fact)...

I have never worked harder than I have on this new Spanish Course

I started thinking about Synergy Spanish Level 2, 2 1/2 years ago.

I started serious research about 14 months ago.

And I started writing a year ago.

I finished writing the audio script... last week.

Why so long?

My goal is to make sure you are able to use the Spanish to communicate without being frustrated, confused or overwhelmed. I want to make learning Spanish easy and fun for you. And most of all I want you to actually get through the course and be able to use it in the real world.

Y qué? (so what?)

All courses aim to do that, right?

I'm not so sure because...

I have been in your shoes.

I know what they say, and what happens, are usually two different things.

I know the brick walls you'll hit along the way.

In fact, I was 35 before I knew a lick of Spanish. I tried every book, course, and audio series available in the San Diego county library's catolog.

To this day if I walk into the library they say, "let me check if we have any books on hold for you".

I tried every new Spanish course that looked interesting from Borders and Amazon.com.

And while I was teaching English to Spanish speakers, I'd searched for years for news ways to teach.

Everything that was available was just so dismal at getting results, it was as discouraging for me as it was for the students.

While other teachers complained about the students, I knew the students weren't the problem...

It was the methods that were stopping the students from learning

So, the last thing I want to do is make my new Spanish course a regurgitation of the same path to Spanish.

That'd be like Thomas Edison making a bigger candle.

Instead, I am designing a completely different path for you to maximize your Spanish. You'll go beyond what you learned in Synergy Spanish. This path takes you to new levels of communication and intereaction in Spanish in fun and thrilling ways.

We just recorded lesson 14 of 22, I am amazed myself at how many different things you'll be able to say.

I was even able to tease my English mates about being bad a Cricket.

What's that got to do with Spanish?

Nothing really...

But that's not the point.

Manipulate the Spanish language to express yourself on subjects that matter to you

From talking about who you are, what you do, where you're from, where you live, to engaging in all sorts of conversations. You'll talk about family, friends, children, food, work, driving, traffic, home life, fútbol and much more...even Cricket (just a line or two for fun).
